Pain Is The Ultimate Price of Growth

Who likes pain? Anyone?

We spend all our lives searching for joy and peace and prosperity but in the process of seeking euphoria we endure pain. What is pain? Is it a feeling? Is it a state of mind? Is it some sort of retribution? Or is it just universe's way of balancing the scale?

People say "Without pain we wouldn't know joy." Because if we are in an eternal state of joy, we wouldn't value it. If every day is great, then no day is great.

But that's not the only way how pain aids us. Pain gives us the best reality check. Pain stops us from being complacent. It brings us to the ground. It resets our ego-meter. The heart wrenching grief and sorrow that one goes through makes him stronger, more confident and understanding and humble towards others over a period of time. It gives the person a whole new perspective on life and on how to deal with one's problems.

Pain is an indicator that we are still alive, that we still feel our feelings, that we still are a compassionate human being. Channelize your emotions into achieving your goals. Feeling anxious? Read a book. Feeling restless? Take 3 deep breaths. Feeling angry? Work out. Frustrated? Develop a new hobby.

Be creative. Take control of your thoughts and emotions and, in the longer run, your life. One who conquers their mind, conquered the world.

So the next time you see someone going through hard time, feeling vulnerable and in despair, crying their eyes out, be there for them. Empathize before you sympathize.

Lend your shoulders for them to cry on and your ears to hear them out because sometimes that's all that is needed.
